Mena is a city in Ukraine’s Chernihiv Region with a population of 11,525. This area has faced economic challenges and has one of the lowest numbers of Baptist churches in Ukraine. In the aftermath of the occupation, the community struggles with significant social issues, including a lack of orphan care, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
We are excited to share the inspiring story of Dima and his family, dedicated missionaries serving in Mena, a town located about 100 km from the Russian border. Once occupied, Mena is now experiencing a renewed sense of hope, largely due to the relentless efforts of local leaders like Dima, with support from Ukraine on Mission.
Dima and his family are deeply committed to ministering to the people of Mena. Through their evangelical work, they provide much-needed spiritual guidance and support. Their ministry has become a source of hope and encouragement, bringing relief and faith to this once-occupied region.
