During the first months or the war, we were flooded by thousands of refugees that fled their homes with almost nothing in their hands. Some of them had summer clothing and sneakers on. That was in February and March which are two of the coldest
months in Ukraine.
That’s why we knew what to do and how to help right away.
After a while, someone asked us: “What do you call that place in your Lviv Hope Center that gives out clothing and hygiene items?”
Our answer was simple. We knew about Samaritan’s Purse which helps and brings small boxes of joy to people. So we named our ministry…Samaritan’s Shelf ))) since we had many shelves that needed to be filled to help many.
Since that time, our volunteers from our Hope Center have helped over 10,000 people with clothing!
All of this is possible because of many faithful people that prayed, donated, and volunteered to show God’s love to those who are in need! Praise the Lord and thank you!
We all need each other, no matter how good or bad we look on the outside.
Simple support and a plate of hot food are sometimes the least that we can do to warm up someone on a cold and snowy day.
Lviv Hope Center together with Lviv Central Baptist Church continues to serve the needy residents of the city of Lviv, by distributing food.

Last Saturday, we have started the first Small Group for refugee women. Its was a special time for women who decided to learn more abour the Bible and Jesus Christ.
Most of those women repeatedly visited our large gatherings for refugees organized by Lviv Hope Center. Most of them are resettled from the eastern and southern regions of our Ukraine.
Small groups for varouse age groups is a part of our vision how to serve resettled people from different cities of Ukraine who gather to communicate, share their experiences, and pains.
Those who come share their grief and experiences. During that time, we have the opportunity to testify about the One who is the only salvation and hope in difficult times of our lives.
We prayed together, sang, ate, exchanged contacts, and rejoiced.
We believe that we will be able to organize similar meetings in the future so that there is less loneliness and sadness on our faces and hearts in this difficult time for all of us.
Together with the local Christians, we have started a new training course for adaptation and rehabilitation for victims of war.

We have already hosted five meetings with around 40-50 people on average in attendance and received a lot of grateful feedback. It’s a great time for fellowship and discussion for those who suffered a lot.
